Kevin Sampson owns Nixon's Lawn Care and runs it out of Conroe, Texas. When you call the number on this site, you get him. He gives the estimate, sets the schedule, and is there when the work happens.
That matters more than it sounds. There is no call center and nobody to pass you along to. If something about your yard is not right, you tell the owner, and the owner is the one who fixes it.
Most of what we do is regular mowing on weekly or bi-weekly routes. Around that sit the seasonal jobs: mulch in the beds, tree trimming, leaf cleanup in the fall, gutters and roofs, and power washing a driveway that has gone green. One crew handles all of it, so you are not chasing three different companies.

Four things happen every time we stop
A mow is not just cutting the grass. Whether you are on a weekly route or a one time cleanup, all four of these happen before we load up and leave.

Mow
We cut at the right height for your grass and the time of year. Scalping a lawn in the Conroe heat stresses it and lets weeds in, so we do not do it.

Edge
A clean line along the driveway, the sidewalk and the curb. This is the detail that makes a yard look finished rather than just cut.

Trim
We string trim around fences, trees, flower beds and mailboxes, anywhere a mower cannot reach.

Blow off
Clippings come off your driveway, walkways and patio before we go. Your hard surfaces stay clean.
We keep the blades sharp, which is less obvious than it sounds. A dull blade tears grass instead of cutting it, and torn grass turns brown at the tips a few days later.

Things we would rather say up front
Nobody likes learning the rules after the invoice arrives. This is what we tell every new customer before they go on the schedule.
If bi-weekly is wrong for your yard
Every other week works well once growth slows down. If your lawn is running away from you in June, we will say weekly is the better fit rather than take the smaller job and let it get ragged.
When the weather does not cooperate
If the ground is too wet to mow safely, we move you to the next available day and tell you we are doing it. We will not tear up a soggy yard just to stay on schedule.
